Aspiring racecar driver Lucky Jackson works as a waiter at the Flamingo as he tries to raise enough cash to complete work on his car in order to enter the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Along the way he falls for the pool manager Rusty Martin, and clashes with Italian racecar driver Elmo Mancini who is both his rival in the race, and for the affections of Rusty.
