After Spider-Man tore the symbiote off it was taken to a lab. Eddie Brock has been fired from the Bugle after Peter revealed he sent out a fake story and got contacted by a scientist which asks him to investigate the Life Foundation and finds the symbiote which calls itself Venom. It attaches to Eddie and grants him great powers.
