Fan Casting Mary Reid in VAMPYR

Mary was born to Emelyne Reid and Aubrey Reid, and lived in the Reid family's mansion in West End, London. She was close with her older brother Jonathan. In 1908, her father inexplicably disappeared. In her adult life, she was married and later gave birth to a son. However, her happiness was quickly stripped away when her husband, Dylan[note 1], was killed in France during the war; her young child later died from Spanish flu. Mary's only comfort was the hope that her brother would return from the front, and eventually she did receive word that he would come home to London.
