Synopsis

The story is about a newly embraced vampire whose Sire did not seek the local Prince's permission; both sire and childe are sentenced to be executed, but following a protest by Anarch "leader" Nines Rodriguez, Prince LaCroix spares the childe's life as a calculated move to preserve a state of non-aggression between the two groups. In return they are expected to serve the Prince faithfully, and are set a task to prove their usefulness and loyalty. A supposed Sabbat attack interrupts the introduction to kindred lore being given by Smiling Jack. As the movie progresses, it becomes apparent that an ancient artifact known as the Ankaran Sarcophagus is at the center of recent tensions between the Camarilla, Sabbat, Anarchs and Kuei-jin of the West Coast.

Description of Mercurio (Human / ghoul, Camarilla agent):

He is Sebastian LaCroix's ghoul, and agent in Santa Monica. He provides the fledgling with quests and information. Mercurio is almost sixty years old, but due to the vampire blood he receives monthly, he appears much younger. He prides himself on his ability to procure anything for anyone. He also calls himself old-fashioned, believing that certain topics, such as sex, should not be discussed in front of women.
