Synopsis

"Unveiled: The Hala Sedki Story" chronicles the life of Hala Sedki, a trailblazing Egyptian filmmaker, actress, and activist, whose indomitable spirit and fearless pursuit of her dreams defied the conventions of her time. Born into a conservative society in the early 20th century, Hala's story begins amidst the backdrop of a rapidly changing Egypt. From a young age, she defied societal expectations by expressing a profound interest in the arts, particularly cinema. Despite facing immense opposition from her family and society, Hala persisted, determined to carve her own path in the male-dominated world of filmmaking.

Description of Mariam Fakhr Eddine:

Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine was an Egyptian film and television actress and was the second wife of prominent filmmaker Mahmoud Zulfikar (1914 – 1970). She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen" (Arabic: حسناء الشاشة). Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine Image.
