Dr. Ivo Robotnik, nicknamed Eggman because of his corporation Eggman Enterprises, is an evil businessman & scientist whose corporation is the largest supplier of almost everything and acts as a front for Eggman’s evil plans, he publicly uses his company to sell everything from medicine to News to TV Entertainment and more while behind the scenes he uses it to make illegal weapons and dangerous combat robots nicknamed Badniks, Eggman himself wears a suit with a cape & coat tails and glasses & goggles along with carrying a cain with a Chaos Emerald-like structure on the top designed to hold a Chaos Emerald or a shrunk Master Emerald, he also notably is slimmer compared to most Eggmen across the franchise with an actually more muscular appearance and has hair (similar to Jim Carrey’s Eggman before he shaved it off, except he never does unlike that Eggman), his company’s mascot also resembles the concept art for Eggman from Sonic 1, he is actually rather respected publicly
