Description of Shay (First book):

Lanky and angular teenager and so thin that its already not conventionally attractive anymore (according to her dystopian society). Long, pointy face, green eyes, long nose, full lips. Wears her long, dark brown hair in braids. Olive brown skin. While her society tells her she is ugly, she actually feels quite at peace with her body and moves with confidence. Has a mischievous streak in her.
