Cybertronian society was not always at war. In many versions of their lore, the planet was a factory world built by the alien Quintessons to produce two types of slave robots: military hardware and consumer goods. The robots eventually developed sentience, revolted, and overthrew their masters, leading to a Golden Age of peace.
