The head of the G.I. Joe team and mentor to the Autobots, whose predecessor, General Joseph Colton, is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin. He and his subordinates operate underneath the Chaplain's Assistant School's motor pool in Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island known as "The Pit". His prime directive, which drove him to found G.I. Joe in honor of his predecessor, is to prepare the world for the Decepticon invasion. To do this, he protects the Energon reserves to prevent the Decepticons from freeing Megatron from Trypticon Prison.
