Trainspotting follows Mark Renton and his group of heroin-addicted friends in 1980s Edinburgh as they navigate the highs and devastating lows of drug use. Renton makes several attempts to get clean, moving to London for a fresh start, but his chaotic friends continuously drag him back into a life of crime and addiction.
