When they're not at school, they use their magical powers to save sea turtles and rescue those in need, to defeat the evil pirate Zello and the witch RavenRafaella. Local jock Bully Hank and his snobbish girlfriend Mallory want Brianna and her friends when they become mermaids. But the girls head east to keep their adventures hidden, except for their human friends Caleb, Lucy, Lion and Jonatahan, who help them.
