Description of Vanessa Johnson (Leona's Mother):
Vanessa is a hard-working single mother in her early 40s, with tired eyes but a determined spirit. She works long hours as a nurse to provide for Leona and her younger brother, always reminding them of the value of perseverance. She’s strict, but her love for her children is evident in her sacrifices. Leona’s father left when she was young, a sore spot in her life. While she rarely speaks about him, his absence fuels her determination to succeed and prove that she doesn’t need him to thrive.
