Thorgal, a child from the stars raised by Norsemen in eraly-Medieval Scandinavia, is trying to live a peaceful life with the woman he loves and away from his otherworldly heritage. However, the power struggle among local lords reaches the village in which he lives. Thorgal loses his freedom and his pregnant wife, Aaricia, apparently loses her life.
