Pat Cliffton is the Island of Sodor's only postman. He delivers the mail using his mail bag and his trusty red mail van. He has a wife named Sara, a son named Julian, a dog named Spot and a black and white cat named Jess, who usually comes along with him on his delivery rounds. Delivering the mail has always been a hard job for him, but in recent decades, it's gotten a little bit harder all because of a small invention called the Internet, where people can just click or tap on the item they want and it sometimes arrives on their doorstep faster than ordering it from a old fashioned catalog. It's also a place where people can type and send digital letters to each other. We all know them best as emails. But Pat is a kind hearted man, and he never complains about it too much. That is because like his boss, Mrs. Goggins the postmistress says, one way or another, the mail always gets through.
