Synopsis

Convinced that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Lawrence Trask develops the Sentinels, enormous robotic weapons that can detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. In the 1990s, the Sentinels have evolved into highly efficient killing machines. With mutants now facing extinction, Wolverine volunteers to go back in time and rally the original X-Men of the past to help change a pivotal moment in history and thereby save their future.

Description of Post-Credits Scene:

In Post Credits Scene: Stryker meets with Trask as he reveals he's shutting down the Sentinel project. Stryker pleads that it's the only way to continue his father's legacy. Trask reveals his medallion and says, "Do what you must but I'm choosing my own path." Stryker sneers and leaves. Magneto sits in his plastic cell and smiles as he plans something worse than killing the president.
