Synopsis

The series revolves around the titular "witcher", Geralt of Rivia. In Sapkowski's works, "witchers" are beast hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle wild beasts and monsters. Description of Queen Calanthe (Lioness of Cintra):

Calanthe Fiona Riannon of Cintra, a.k.a. the "Lioness of Cintra" and "Ard Rhena" ("High Queen" in Elder Speech), was a queen of Cintra. She is mother to Pavetta, and grandmother to Ciri. Both Pavetta and Ciri inherit their fair hair and bright green eyes from Queen Calanthe.
