Sage was a vampire whom Damona met in 1912. He showed her the better sides of feeding and made her what she was, similar to what Lexi was to Stefany. He returned to Mystic Falls looking for Fiona Mikaelson, his lover. Fiona was the one who turned him so they could be together forever. He was the first vampire of Fiona's bloodline.
