Rory Cochrane (born February 28, 1972) is an American actor. He is known for playing Ron Slater in Dazed and Confused, Lucas in Empire Records, and Tim Speedle in CSI: Miami.

Retired private detective Nick Charles and his wife Nora become wrapped up in a case involving the missing inventor Clyde Wynant. Wynant's daughter Dorothy approaches Charles because he had worked for her father in the past. While he is hesitant to get involved, he and his wife become entangled in the mystery.
