Flint Marco was a troubled man who struggled after his divorce. He indulged in a life of crime to provide care for his daughter currently in his ex wife’s custody. He was offered by Oscorp to make a fortune volunteering for an experiment of theirs which he accepted. But by the time he learned what their true intentions were, it was too late. He was exposed to a super collider which turned his body into sand. With time and patience, he used his newfound abilities to escape Oscorp and took refuge in the streets. Eventually after a few fights with Spider Man, he hesitantly joined team Spider with the intention of either curing or better controlling his sand powers to be able to do good for his daughter. After Oscorp fell, he was pardoned by the city of New York and he has his daughter back in his care.
