The young only child of a noblewoman, Acassius wants to live his own adventure and stop being a squire. After surreptitiously taking the sword of the knight he was serving, he is mistaken for a warrior and goes on several adventures, makes friends, discovers the value of hard and patient work, and faces the greatest evil in all the land.
