Thomas Doyle was a sportswriter who tried to stop the buyout of his newspaper by dressing up as a demonic goat man and attacking his own workplace. He was apprehended by Green Arrow and sent to prison, where he signed up to join the Suicide Squad, not understanding the consequences of his choice. Once he’s on mission and sees the violence and warfare, he becomes a panicked wreck and fearful of his life.
