Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of 1940s wartime Shanghai, The Sky Between Us follows James Calloway, a reckless but brilliant American fighter pilot, and Evelyn Harper, a British war correspondent determined to document the truth. Fate throws them together when Evelyn’s transport ship is shot down over the South China Sea, and James rescues her in a daring, gravity-defying aerial maneuver. As war rages on, they find refuge in a glamorous but dangerous Shanghai, a city caught between espionage, betrayal, and fading opulence. Their love is tested by the impending war, forbidden loyalties, and an old flame in Marco DeLuca, a spy with secrets of his own. As James is ordered to participate in a suicide mission over occupied territory, Evelyn must decide: will she let duty dictate her heart, or will she risk everything to save the man she loves?
