Synopsis

The Secret History is an inverted detective story narrated by one of the six students, Richard Papen, who reflects years later upon the situation that led to the murder of their friend Edmund "Bunny" Corcoran – wherein the events leading up to the murder are revealed sequentially.

Description of Richard Papen:

I imagine Richard as a Tobey Maguire character, specifically Nick Carraway and I can see the similarities between the two characters. Due to the book being written in Richard's point of view, he never really described himself, so we kind of just have to guess.
