Dream, also known as the Sandman, Morpheus or Kai’chuk, is the titular main protagonist of The Sandman. Dream is the anthropomorphic personification of dreams, ruler of “The Dreaming” (the realm of sleep and stories), and a member of the cosmic Endless family, who was imprisoned by Roderick Burgess for over a century. After escaping, he alongside his sister Death must go on a quest to restore his powers and defeat Doctor Destiny before he can achieve his goals.
