Mikasa probably has some trauma after her 9th Birthday. Her parents (Mizuno and Felix) got killed by the cultist and eventually leaving her alone and tied up, waiting to be a sacrifice lamb for them. After saved by a police lieutenant named Johannes and his father friend, Dr. Griezmann, she ended up develop sort of an ironic obsession over cult, mystery and gothic things - As Eren's Mother said about her. Pretty much similar with her counterpart in Tiran World.
