Described as shorter and slimmer than Hadrian, with dark hair and usually wearing black clothing and a hooded cloak. Royce is an orphaned mir (half elf) who grew up in poverty on the streets and because of his harsh childhood, he is cynical, distrustful and quick to assume the worst in others. He is guided by a largely self-serving moral code that can make him seem cold and callous. However, the influences of Hadrian and Gwen soften him; though far from gentle, he grows to care deeply for those closest to him.
