Cillian Darcy is a dorky highschool outcast who always wanted to be part of the popular crowd. However the 16th birthday of his socially handicapped and nerdy best friend Rory Mayne, an accidental shooting turns fatal.
Cillian's friends and teachers annoy him by constantly asking about his well-being, while Mrs. Mayne keeps trying to give him Rory's belongings.
At night, Cillian has found a mysterious red cube that grants him superpowers and drawn into the investigation of his family's connection with a supervillain named Midnight Marauder.
