This movie will be an adaptation of the video game of the same name, and it could be a retroactive continuity sequel to the 2016 movie, which would ignore certain elements of the previous movie and elements from unnecessary video game sequels. Ratchet and Clank are renowned galactic heroes, and Ratchet fears that what if they end up as "washed-up" like Captain Quark, who served jail time for treachery.
