The Rangers is a superhero live action standalone film, based on the Texas-centered hero team originating from Marvel Comics and created by Bill Mantlo. It follows them as they clash with the Acolytes, a group of mutant villains who plot to assassinate the newly elected Lone Star State governor Jeremiah "Jem" Doaks, and unleash chaos by blowing up the local Roxxon power plant.
