The Rainmaker
By Sep
Born in a quiet corner of Japan, Kazuchika Okada is a young dreamer willing to leave everything behind for a future no one can promise him. From the unforgiving wrestling schools of Mexico to the lonely struggles of an overlooked talent in America, his journey is marked by sacrifice, rejection, and an unshakable desire to prove himself. When he returns to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, a bold reinvention transforms him into The Rainmaker, igniting a legendary rivalry with Hiroshi Tanahashi and eventually redefining the limits of professional wrestling alongside Kenny Omega. But as championship gold, worldwide fame, and the expectations of an entire wrestling nation reshape his life, Okada discovers that becoming a legend comes at a price. Now, after seventeen years with the company that made him a star, he must confront his greatest challenge yet: leaving behind everything he helped build to pursue an uncertain future across the ocean. The Rainmaker is an intimate, sweeping story of ambition, sacrifice, family, and the courage to walk away from the world you conquered.
