Synopsis

The Power of Dreams is about smart dressed Catholic cowgirl ALEGRA Cruise from Decatur, AL who is about to start university but keeps having these recurring dreams about people she’s never met and she has a rebellious best friend to take to campus with her. Alegra doesn’t know if God is doing this to get her to help these people but she thinks it’s all way too supernatural and he surely can’t be involved. It’s not a ploy to distract her from her catholic morals but she still keeps preying in the hope this weird phenomenon goes away. The recurring dreams are actually spotted by an influential senior who says she saw this event happen and Alegra is seen as some sort of psychic but she only wants to be at college to be a academic genius but she’s got a rival in that, a slightly tanned girl with straight hair with incredibly pushy parents.

Description of Laura:

A 2nd year Latina who moved from Cuba when she was 6; LAURA is quite the feisty redhead and is a stickler for traditions in the cheerleading squad and doesn’t see how a girl can be let into the squad just because it will change the dim-witted flirtatious history that the captain might be trying to change. Her father often picks her up and he’s quite a successful singer so she feels tempted to belt out a song or 2 and her mother is also quite talented. She certainly has very natural and vibrant ginger curls and very seductive blue eyes.
