When Captain Olimar, a seasoned space explorer from the planet, embarks on a routine delivery mission, disaster strikes—his ship, the S.S. Dolphin, is hit by an asteroid and crashes onto an uncharted planet. Stranded with no way to contact home and his ship in pieces, Olimar must find a way to survive. As he explores the lush but dangerous world, he encounters tiny plant-like creatures—the Pikmin. These small but brave beings instinctively follow Olimar, helping him uncover mysterious artifacts, battle ferocious native creatures, and search for the missing parts of his ship. With their unique abilities and unwavering loyalty, Olimar and the Pikmin form an unbreakable bond. But the planet holds greater dangers than Olimar could have imagined. Gigantic predators, hazardous environments, and an eerie smoky presence lurking in the shadows threaten their mission. And as Olimar pieces together his ship, he begins to realize he may not be the first visitor to this strange world… With time running out before his life-support system fails, Olimar must lead the Pikmin in a final stand against the planet’s deadliest threats and uncover the secrets hidden beneath its surface.
