From Riches to Revolvers, Helm was born in Prussia to an affluent family of his father, an esteemed defense lawyer, and his mother, a biology professor and zoologist. Completed school with honors, and sought his fortune in the new world as a bounty hunter. His father, an outdoorsman, taught him how to shoot and read at the same age. Helm is the gunslinger of the group, with an encyclopedic knowledge of ballistics and marksmanship. If one of the Phantoms need an impossible shot landed, they look to Helm
