At the beginning of the twentieth century, a former architect, disfigured by the German bombing of his brand-new opera house in 1918, was France's greatest monster hunter, and one of the best in the world. His name was Erik Leroux, but monsters and evil people feared him by the nickname : the Phantom of the Opera. That is, until 1949, when he was cowardly murdered. Since then, however, his soul has been trapped within the opera house he once built, recently reconstructed. He's a peculiar, vengeful specter, half-alive, half-dead. Now, as the world has recently become aware that monsters exist, a group of young history researchers illegally infiltrate the opera house to uncover its mysteries, but they will have to deal with the Phantom. Because most of them have a guilty conscience... and because one of them seems to have a personal connection to him.
