Synopsis

When young singer Christine Daae starts to make a name for herself in the Paris Opera, she attracts the attention of Erik, a deformed former musician, who now haunts the Opera posing as a ghost to get revenge on the Opera managers who wronged him. What ensues is a 3-week nightmare of terror, where Erik terrorizes the Opera and its patrons, in a mad pursuit of a love that was never to be

This guy is Erik's best and only friend, who became his sidekick when Erik took to haunting the Opera. In terms of characterization, think of Nadir as if you were to mix Apu from 'The Simpsons' with Kronk from 'The Emperor's New Groove'
