Luz Noceda, an imaginative misfit, discovers a mysterious portal after a disastrous day at school and encounters a shape-shifting girl, Vee, who is soon kidnapped by the sinister demon Kikimora. Chasing after them, Luz is accidentally thrown into the magical realm of the Boiling Isles, where she’s rescued by the rebellious witch Eda and her companion King. Determined to belong, Luz befriends Willow, Gus, and former rival Amity while learning magic in her own unique way. As Emperor Belos rises in power, draining witches and planning the “Day of Unity,” Luz and her friends uncover his dark intentions. Betrayed and sent back home, Luz returns with renewed resolve, leading a final battle against Belos. With courage and teamwork, she destroys his power source, restores those turned to stone, and saves the Isles. In the end, Luz earns her place as a witch and finds where she truly belongs.
