Synopsis

Outside of normal time and space, two opposing worlds, New Genesis and Apokolips, have been in conflict for as long as you can imagine, before an apparent moment of peace sealed with a pact between their leaders. But that wouldn't last forever, amidst the Lord of Apokolips' quest for absolute power, and his equally strong ambition to subdue his rival world in the process. In a chaotic scenario like never before, the son of one of these leaders, a renegade Furia and other characters who will accompany him on his journey, will see the chance to rewrite their own history, and that of the endangered universe. Because when heroes fall, gods rise. Based on Jack Kirby's iconic Fourth World, 'The New Gods' takes place concurrently with the events of 'Justice League: Darkseid'.

Description of Highfather (Izaya the Inheritor):

As the great leader of New Genesis, Izaya always aspired to be a fair leader for the good New Gods, being their connection to the will of Source, the celestial force that governs their lives. But that was never easy, amid the eternal confrontation with Darkseid, his dark brother, and Apokolips. In an attempt that seems to have worked to stop the war, Highfather gave his son to Darkseid as a guarantee that he would keep his word and not interfere with Apokolips anymore, and in return, adopted one of Darkseid's sons. That worked until the day his brother decided to break the deal, killing his wife, Avia, in the process.
