After the shenanigans with Zsasz, Jim Gordon decides to take a vacation. One day he casually checks his police email and sees an email from an anonymous person, claiming to work for the bank, saying that they are going bankrupt and that a mysterious person robbed the bank several times during the nights. Gordon first intends to ignore it but notices that it is an email sent to him privately. He finds the robber on security cameras and begins investigating the case. After several days of work, he manages to find a pattern on the unpredictable robberies. The next day he is at the bank himself when the robber arrives. He catches the robber by surprise but still gets his ass beaten by the agile robber. This gets the attention of the police force and Gordon gets a lot of criticism from other officers. The next day, a police force is ready to stop the robbery streak once and for all, everything goes well and they manage to arrest the robber. They unmask them, revealing a young girl. Just as her identity is being revived, the armed men march out of the shadows and guns down all the cops except Gordon and Bullock. They are kidnapped and taken to the abandoned airport.
