After the defeat of Odin the gods were unprotected. Gorr, the man who had renounced her gods for not stopping her planet from killing itself was imprisoned but Thor did not know for what. She soon found her father, the original Thor, was killed by Gorr. Odin was the last line of defence keeping Gorr at bay so Gorr broke free. She began slaying gods starting with the Asgardians and she was keen to kill the new Thor she had heard so much about.
