Synopsis

After the events of The Mask (1994), Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) is now promoted as assistant chief manager at the Edge City savings and loans bank and still claims the magical Mask which turns him into the green headed, big toothed superhero if worn. Meanwhile, villainous crime boss Don Mozzo (Mahershala Ali) plans to seek the Mask for himself while Walter (Mark Ruffalo), a mute and enormous gangster and ex-employee to Don Mozzo plans to do the same to exact his revenge. Stanley, with The Mask deep within him, the two may have met their match.

Description of Kathy Matthews (the Female Lead):

Kathy Matthews is the leading heroine of The Mask Returns. She's a brunette, and she's smart, funny, brave and beautiful. Kathy is a reporter for the Edge City Gazette and has become fascinated with the story about a green headed man that has superpowers. That's when she met Stanley Ipkiss and the two of them fell in love. She eventually finds out that Stanley is The Mask, she promises to keep it a secret. Kathy was the main female character in the Dark Horse comics.
