When Mario and Luigi are invited over to a abandoned mansion near the Mushroom Kingdom (supposedly from the Mushroom Kingdom Council to thank them for saving the land again), some spooky hijinks take place when Mario, Toad and Toadette go missing. With Luigi now placed under the splotlight, he turns to the help of a mysterious scientist with ghost-hunting equipment at his disposal as he sets out to save his friends… and uncover some spooky lore behind the Mushroom Kingdom’s past.
