Synopsis

The Love Hypothesis follows Olive, a PhD student who wants to prove to her best friend that she has moved on and is dating. With no way to prove it, she kisses the first man she sees, which ends up being none other than Dr. Carlsen, known as one of the most unapproachable and critical professors.

Description of Malcolm:

Malcolm is Olive’s roommate and best friend. As the biggest flirt on campus, he is known for being a ball of sunshine and rainbows as he chats up basically anyone with a pulse. Towards the end of the book, he settles down with Holden Rodriquez, another sunshine at heart. Because of his flamboyant personality, Malcolm wouldn’t hesitate to flaunt a patterned shirt, and pair it with corduroy pants and colored sneakers. Even on his lazy days, you’d never catch him in something boring. Only Malcolm could radiate teddy bear energy by wearing a fuzzy bear print sweatshirt – to get more hugs of course.
