The Gorgon who was a former priestess and worshiped Athena at the goddess’s temple. Medusa was once a pretty woman that all the men in Greece fell for her. Poseidon came to Athena’s temple and harassed the young priestess. Instead of being angry with Poseidon, Athena takes her anger out on Medusa and transforms her hair into snakes. One glance would turn any living thing to stone.
