This is an unofficial project and is not affiliated with the original creators. Through our own story, we aim to bring the original series to a new generation of viewers and create new, exciting content for longtime fans of the original series. Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are two shows that revolutionized the way many Americans view cartoons. Borrowing themes and animation styles from Asia, creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino pushed the limits of mainstream television to create a children’s show that challenged young viewers to consider complex themes and ideas like egalitarianism, theocracy, terrorism, and globalization. Description of Nami:

Nami is the only daughter of Tomkin, an oil rig worker in the Northern Water Tribe. When she was little, healers predicted Nami would be a great waterbender, and her delighted parents enrolled her in a private waterbending academy. Years later, she has never shown any waterbending ability and is bullied mercilessly by her bending peers. Nami finds comfort in her best friends – the assortment of odd little spirits that frequent her home.
