Synopsis

Invitations for the fighting tournament “King of Fighters” are delivered to fighters throughout the world. The young Kyo Kusanagi from Japan joins with his friends Benimaru Nikaido and Goro Daimon to compete in the tournament. Who is its mysterious sponsor “R”? What are 3-on-3 team battles? Description of Sie Kensou:

One of the young disciples of Chin Gentsai who wields psychic powers. Both he and Athena are trained by Chin to prepare for "the worst case scenario of oncoming evil" and use the tournaments as a method of training for such an event.
