Growing up amidst the devastation of the Korean War, the sisters learned to sing and play instruments from their mother, who was a well-known singer and actress herself. Driven by a shared hope for survival and escape from poverty, the sisters pour their talent into music, performing for U.S. soldiers and quickly gaining local fame in Seoul. The series follows their discovery by an American talent scout and their journey across the Pacific to a country where they speak no English and have no support network, relying solely on their art and each other.
