Synopsis

Vietnam war escapee Edward Prendick is rescued by alcoholic degenerate Montgomery Davenport, and taken back to a mysterious island where Montgomery and the doctor surgically turn animals into grotesque "men", as the island's hierarchy slowly descends into madness.

A raging alcoholic, drug user, and sexual deviant, Montgomery is the ill fated assistant to the titular doctor, who spends his time drinking, smoking, abusing his animal servants, or having sex with them.
