His only antagonist role is being the Hydra spy launching a military assault on Bruce Banner for the destruction so that Hydra's plans for the Helicarriers can go without stop. After the attack, Ross warns him to not attack Banner ever again. But when he found Banner in an abandoned gamma lab, he sabotaged it with electricity to make sure Banner dies, but accidentally created a monster worse and more powerful than one Hulk alone: Zzzax! His affiliation with Hydra is not revealed on-screen until the post-credit scene foreshadowing Captain America: the Winter Soldier (2014)
