Synopsis

Gene is different from everyone else around him. He can’t run with lightning speed, sunlight doesn’t hurt him, and he doesn’t have an unquenchable lust for blood. Gene is a human, and he knows the rules. Keep the truth a secret. It’s the only way to stay alive in a world of night - a world where humans are considered a delicacy and hunted for their blood. Description of The Ruler:

The Ruler is the main antagonist of the trilogy. He's a dusker (vampire-like species that fed on humans blood and flesh, but also animals), he's the leader of the dominant, superior kind called "people" by themselves and "duskers" by hepers (humans). He's narcisstic, but also very clever and cunning. He's an corpulent, older male. He likes to think duskers are civilizied society superior to humans in every way, yet they go wild and primitive led just by hunger and lust for their flesh (to the point that they don't care if they are in situation with conditions that will successfully kill them). He also knows the strengths and benefits of hepers and tries to take advantage of those.
