And all throughout, Government contractor Emil Blonsky seems to be playing each of the players against each other. Finally, the Hulk lands in front of a suburban house in San Francisco, each step becoming more and more Bruce Banner. He knocks on the door; it's answered by Susan Banner and she sees Bruce, bone tired and struggling to keep what looks like a pair of stretched out pants up. "Hi Aunt Susan" he says, before collapsing in her arms.

Suddenly, a hand shoots out of the effigy, severly burnt, but somehow flesh seems to be regrowing on it. A human face follows, screaming at it's Frankensteinian birth, soon, another hand a few steps away emerges with similar behavior. Then, a pile of rubble moves and out of it, comes a fully healed Agent Pratt. The first two revenants become Verdugo and Slater. Fully healed the trio regroup. "So," Verdugo said, "who's gonna tell him?"
